Abstract

This study aimed to meet the national guidelines related to the topic of the health worker, established by the National Conference of Occupational Health (CNST), linked to major health (National Health Conference-CNS). Documentary research was conducted in the database of the Ministry of Health, between the months of July and August 2012. The results show the performance of fourteen CNS, between the years 1941 and 2011, and three CNST, between 1986 and 2005. There are indications that many of these conferences guidelines have not come true, only if structuring the end of the military dictatorship period and culminating in the CNS VIII. We conclude that, in Brazil, the issue of health worker, although discussed since 1904 with Project Regulation of Occupational Accidents and intensified with the Sanitary Reform movement in the 80s, has many gaps and has much to advance .
