Abstract

The school and family contexts are two key development in the path of people. Both are responsible for transmitting knowledge and building culturally organized, acting not only as driving, but as inhibiting development. Through the family interactions are realized the changes in society which, in turn, influence future family relationships. She is primarily responsible for incorporating social change and inter-generational occurred over time. In the family environment, children learn social skills with which they will interact. For that families can have a social support network in the transitions of development, however, the leading network of family support is from actual interactions among its members. The school is a diverse background of development and learning problems is permeated by conflicts and differences. As a micro-society reflects the current transformations and has as one of its most important tasks, preparing students, teachers and parents to live with and overcome the difficulties contributing to the development processes of the individual. The family and school contexts interact and mediate, deserving special attention. Family and School are the two main environments of human development in contemporary Western societies. In this study we will read one of these contexts in the light of bio-ecological theory of Bronfenbrenner Human Development.
