Experiências concretas como recurso para o ensino sobre insetos

Abstract

Para o ensino do tema Insetos, o apoio do material didático tem sido amplamente utilizado, entretanto é necessário um olhar mais rigoroso acerca das informações transmitidas por meio dele, pois nem sempre são veiculadas com fidedignidade. Um outro recurso que incrementa o processo ensino-aprendizagem é a utilização do concreto para observações e transformações dos animais. Este artigo revela que um material concreto, de uso cotidiano pelos estudantes, é capaz de suscitar informações que provoquem conflito cognitivo, estímulo à criação de hipóteses, e ao mesmo tempo estabelecer relações com o conteúdo. Considera o papel do professor de suma importância nesse desenvolvimento e o chama à responsabilidade de dar ao ensino de Ciências uma abordagem mais integrada entre o que se observa e o que se pensa acerca da importância dos insetos no meio ambiente.
