NARRATIVES AND INTERVIEWS IN QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

This article presents central elements for conducting a qualitative research that intends to record oral history interviews. The text indicates paths to be followed in the preparation of a project, in the conduction of interviews and in the constitution of analyzes and preparation of the final text. In addition to explaining methodological procedures, the objective is to work on concepts and theoretical foundations that guide the conduct of research in the area, in order to show the complexity and seriousness of the exercise of interviewing people and valuing their stories. The theoretical references used is made explicit, and research experiences developed over two decades, based on Meihy’s studies, are systematized. In this way, it is expected that this article will show attitudes and knowledge that researchers in the area must constitute.
