Abstract

This article aims to reflect the initial and continuing training of teachers working in the early years of elementary school, as well as their pedagogical practices and lived under the Municipal System of Teaching Chapadinha-MA. The methodology adopted to literature based on primary sources, studies that record the initial and continuing teacher education in Brazil. This is a qualitative research, with a reflection on the responses of the teachers interviewed, these data were collected and obtained through a semi-structured interview applied in five (05) teachers who work with students from two (02) schools. Since two (02) of these teachers belong to the school named as A and 03 (three) belong to another school, named B. The survey signaled initial training and continuing vertically and fragile, since it does not meet the requirements of teachers.
