This article analyzes the impacts of climate changes in Mozambique's urban areas. To carry out this study, a review of the literature was used, scientific articles, monographs and dissertations that address climate changes and its consequences. Mozambique is in East Africa and is the fifth country in the world most vulnerable to climate changes, due to its geographical location, its coast, the existence of areas with low altitude in relation to the sea level. The frequent phenomena in the country are droughts, cyclones, floods. Aware of the gravity, the government through the Ministry of Land and Environment has carried out several mitigation actions and their effects. The occurrence of natural disasters has had a negative impact on the community at several levels, namely: economic, agricultural, infrastructural and human. Mozambique has registered floods in urban areas in recent years, remembering that urbanization occurs spontaneously and in a disorderly manner.
