When conceiving literature as a means of representation and understanding of the self and the world, it is understood that the intersection of this art with other artistic languages ??can corroborate an even more plural formative space, regarding the formation of the subjects, inside or outside. outside the school environment. In this sense, this work aims to understand how the dialogue of literature with other arts can constitute a formative space to foster literary reading and what its implications for the reading formation of the subject. The reports presented here were made from the application of the workshop “Literature and Other Arts”, at Casa Santa Luzia, in Jacobina / BA, product of the curricular component Supervised Internship II, of the State University of Bahia (UNEB) - Campus IV. The methodology used was Cartography, based on the qualitative approach, in a movement of intervention and research concomitantly. Cartography - as an emerging research methodology in the social field and applied in research contexts in the area of ??education - allowed us to map the formative processes of the subjects participating in the applied workshops, regarding literary knowledge and their reading background. The theoretical approach is immersed in the studies of Paulo Freire (1989), Rildo Cosson (2012), Roxane Rojo (2009), among others, to discuss, respectively: The act of reading; literary literacy; multi-languages ??and multiple languages. The results reverberate the relevance of the dialogue of literature with other arts in promoting the literary reading and formative processes of the subject, as well as understanding the experiences of the participants of this research with reading and literature.
