Abstract

Communication is a polysemic expression that demands constant conceptual boundaries, when it is reminded in discussions that surpass the common sense. In order to organize some ideas related to that, it intends to debate communication from two complementary frontiers – to do (phenomenon) and to think (theory) –, congregating elements for its understanding. This reflection is based on bibliographic research. In sum, what is presented, here, are articulations about the communicational territory, from a historical perspective and emphasizing its mass manifestation.
