Social representations about interdisciplinarity and practice of humanization for nurses

The Humanization of Health Care and a broad topic, which is being discussed in context of the hospital as a way to accomplish new perspectives and practices of health. This research aimed to get to know the Social Representations (RS), on the interdisciplinarity and the practice of the humanization of care by nurses. Descriptive study of qualitative approach in light of the theory of Social Representations (RS), performed with eight nurses of a University Hospital of Vale do Paraiba Paulista. The data were collected in the months of December/2010, January-February/2011, by means of interviews with the guiding question of the study: What is the meaning of the humanization of assistance for you today? Speeches were submitted to content analysis and has given rise to the Thematic unit: Interdisciplinarity in practice of humanization, and the sub-themes: communication, holistic view of the patient, training of the team. The communication is the vehicle that handles the passthrough of information between the professionals and the professional-patient relationship, consolidating a look integrated with the user, complemented with the training of the team.Metrics
