About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Human Sciences (e-ISSN 2179-1120) founded in 2008, is a quarterly peer-reviewed publication of Graduate Programs in Human Development and Education at University of Taubaté, Brazil. Since 2008 it has been published nationally and internationally in electronic format.

It is an interdisciplinary journal constituting itself as a privileged space of transversal nature that aims to articulate several fields of knowledge and to go beyound disciplinary boundaries, linking the understanding of reality and the production of knowledge. Thus, it covers History, Geography, Anthropology, Social Service, Psychology, Education, Nursing, Nutrition, Law, Engineering, Environment, Social Communication, Physical Education, Economy issues.

The Journal publishes original research papers and review articles, essays and book reviews devoted to discussions on Human Development and Education issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. Thematic Dossiers on demand are published as well. Articles may be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. All articles are submitted to the anti-plagiarism system adopted by the journal.

The journal is not responsible for the opinions, ideas and concepts emitted, nor for the orthographic and normative revisions of the text, which are the entire responsibility of their authors.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to Journal of Human Sciences are referred to at least two Editorial Board members or ad hoc referees.

The peer review process consists of a anonymous review double system (blind review), that is, both the names of the reviewers and the authors will remain confidential. The Journal reserves the right to make changes on articles form in order to adapt them to its editorial standard.

Free Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific information available free of charge for the comunnity, provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.
